My creative journey started with my grandfather and I having art lessons at the dinner table when I was young. Unfortunately I was never really that great at drawing, but I loved exploring all the different artistic mediums and finding my heart's true talent. I wouldn't get into photography until High School, but once I did, I fell in love.
Now, as a wedding photographer, I get to do that same thing but instead of painting and scrapbooking, I’m capturing and saving the memories of one of the most wonderful days of my clients' lives!! It’s a life-giving job that I’m so incredibly thankful for! I get to work with the most amazing clients and vendors, and even more amazing, my husband! We hope you enjoy learning more about us as you scroll down and see that we are more than just wedding photographers!
There are a lot of things I love about what I do— I love golden hour, I love creating beautiful bright photos, and I get super excited when I find a pose that really works well for a couple and they look and feel AH-MAZE-ING. I love the challenge that photography and business bring into my life.
But can I tell you why I’m really here?
I SEE PHOTOGRAPHY AS A VEHICLE TO MEET, CARE ABOUT AND SERVE OTHER PEOPLE.
how I serve my couples
When I book a wedding, I work with that couple over the course of MONTHS, if not more than a year. During that time, the couple—especially the bride!—is bombarded with countless decisions to make and problems to solve. It’s overwhelming. And exhausting. And sometimes, it’s easy to get so caught up in it that you lose sight of the reason for it in the first place—you’re getting married because ‘home’ changed from a place into a person, and you want to spend forever with them!
I DON’T WANT YOU TO LOOK BACK AT YOUR WEDDING AND REMEMBER STRESS AND OVERWHELM— I CAN HELP YOU MANAGE THAT.
When you hire me, you’re getting more than pretty pictures (although, there will be PLENTY of those!). I’m this unique blend of creative and analytical, and I marry those two skill sets to help my clients make more sense of what they’re experiencing and bring peace into their lives as they plan their big day.
What does this have to do with photography?
It’s pretty simple, really. Preparation and Education are the key to being in the right frame of mind for an amazing wedding day (and therefore, amazing pictures!).
